» How much did it cost for Barack to send out his VP decision text message?

davidcho:

Insert quippy closing sentence here.

$1-2 million.

By the first of this year, Obama had already spent $85 million. In June 2008, the campaign raised $52 million and is expected to raise and spend a grand total of $530 million from the start of his campaign to November 4.

You know how much Obama spent on TV ads in Wisconsin alone during the primaries? $4 million. For the Wisconsin primary alone.

So if anyone complains about the million dollars Obama spent on winning buzz amongst his base and building a list of three million voters he can text on election day, please let them know.

Or just be witty about it, whatevs.
