I want to write a chase scene using a Muni bus, specifically a trolleybus (like the ones on routes 14 and 49) connected to overhead wires, like these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trolleybus I want to build tension in a bus chase by giving the driver limited time before his vehicle runs out of power. San Francisco’s trolleybuses have battery packs for when their trolley poles disconnect from the overhead wires. How long could one of those batteries power a bus on flat ground?
